Spring check valves can be defined as two-port valves, as one of the port purposes for fluid to enter (inlet port) and the other port for fluid to move out (outlet port). It requires at least 1 bar of working pressure to push the disc spring open so that the fluid can flow out from the inlet port. In order to prevent the fluid flow backward, the check valve will push the disc spring back and block the fluid when there is any backflow from the outlet. Therefore, it is commonly utilized in applications where there is no backflow, as even the slightest backflow can damage equipment or contaminate upstream media. Also, the spring check valve is available in stainless steel (SS316) material to provide excellent corrosion protection for the valve.
